Changing Your MyCWU Password

Here is some quick information about the CWU Passwords for Students, Faculty and Staff:

• Your Password expires every 180 days/6 months
• The same password works for MyCWU, CWU Outlook email, Canvas accounts, and WiFi Access across campus. 
  • This is what Central Washington University refers to as the Single Sign On or SSO.  

     

Step One: Navigate to https://wildcatpassword.cwu.edu. 

NOTE!

If at any point in the this or any other CWU login process you end up seeing a page called "Oracle PeopleSoft" this is a loading error.  Please do not attempt to log into this page. You can fix this page error either by opening an incognito or private browsing window (Article - How to Open a New Private W... (teamdynamixpreview.com)) Or by clearing your browsers cache (Article - Clearing Internet Browsing ... (teamdynamixpreview.com)).  

Step Two:  Select Change your Password.
 

Step Three: Enter your MyCWU username and current password. Please make sure you follow the guidelines for creating a new password.

Step Four: Enter a new password. Keep in mind that the following password requirements must be met to be accepted by the system:

• Password is case sensitive.
• Must be at least 14 characters long.
• Must not include your name or any part of your name, birth date, username or any personal info like street addresses or phone numbers.
• Must have at least three types of the following characters:
  • Uppercase (A-Z)
  • Lowercase (a-z)
  • Number (0-9)
  • Symbol (!, #, $, etc.)

Once a new password has been entered correctly, you will receive a message saying the password has been changed successfully.
